Hi,

I'm new to Mybb,

everything is installed correctly and works correctly.

When I try to register as a new user, I get the following when I hit 'submit registration' :

(my_site//community/member.php)

This page isn’t working

www.xxx.com is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

although, if I connect as the admin, the user has been created !

any clue ?

Error 500 : check your server's logs.
If using apache, it could be mod_security which makes a problem.

Can you be more explicit ? what must I find in the logs in such case (the logs are very huge) ?

my hosting is ovh.com, so what must I do with "mod_security" ? it's desactivated; in .ovhconfig at the root, I have already "http.firewall=none"

Go into /var/log/apache/ and do a tail -f xxx.errors.log (or whatever is the name for your website errors log), then reproduce the error.
You'll see a more verbose error in the logfile.
