If you are using File Manager in cPanel to observe the folder, what is the rest of the path?
Or are you looking at file structure of the server software itself?

I think this has something to do with the PHP Selector for your cPanel and is probably a configuration file. Would probably look like this within the actual cpanel and not files. This is going to be a question to ask your host but I would suggest not messing with it.
