Im thinking to upgrade mybb version but im afraid that a lot plugins bugs will appear along with faulty templates of the theme im using.

What is the best thing to do realy im so confused because my site will not look like before for sure because a lot things will be not working..

Shall i hire an expert for fixes because for sure will be a lot..

many mybb updates is security update , so It is necessary.
if you want I can update,fix problems and create custom plugin and theme (non-free)

Which version are you upgrading from?

Im running 1.8.4 version with php 7.4(ea) . I want to upgrade it but the troubles awaiting with plugins are my nightmare..
There is no way i can upgrade the whole site im running without an expert..
