I hope the following features to be considered in future mybb versions:

Tabbed view
Shoutbox
Statistics in the index page as ProStats plugin
Recycle / Trash

The features can be activated or deactivated according to the websites

A shoutbox won't happen. It's been rejected year after year since forever.

It's definitely the sort of thing that is better suited to a plugin.

Where do you see a need for a tabbed view?

Recycle/Trash is already part of the MyBB moderation options.

A shoutbox is a contradiction to the logical purpose of a forum system - more likely a funny gimmick that you can achieve by a plug-in.

Some more simple statistics are fine, worth to discuss to be fair. There are plug-ins to implement for the moment.
