OS: Linux, Ubuntu
Been following the installation docs, but can't seem to see the forum at example.com/install or <ip>/install .
Apache is running can see its test page.
Can see the phpadmin page
Mysql seems to accept all the commands for data base and user creation
Something isn't lining up any suggestions where to look?

We would need more information on what you are seeing really. A 404 page? Server error page? Are you sure the files are uploaded to the right directory on the server?

if you have shared host and you enter server ip , this is problem, you must set a domain on host then enter domain/install and other step .
but if you server owner you must check httpd.conf settings
so the doc root was set to /var/www/mybb in the mybb.conf under apache2 sites-available.
However moving the contents of mybb to /var/html/ seems to get me access to the install page via 192.168.1.166/install.
I'll look at fixing up the domain later I just wanted to experience running a BB and see if the features are right for my purposes.
