Waaay back in 2007, I converted my forums to MyBB 1.2. Over the years as the upgrades came and went, I've noticed that there is a growing number of unused PHP files in my server.

As long as:

1. it's not in the current 1.8.32 release, and
   
2. it's not from a plugin,
   

then these extra PHP files should be safe to delete, right?

It would be fine if they're not being used by either core or a plugin.

I'd rename if unsure.

That's a good idea! I'll actually do this first. I expect to rename a ton, but it'll be safer.
