Hi, I recently dicovered this wonderful board and now, after some time "playing" with it, i'm ready to switch my forums.
I'm currently using latest phpbb2 on one of them and phpbb3RC1 on the other two, so i'll need two converters…
I searched the forum, but still i'm not sure on what should i use.

I stoped using phpBB too as you are doing now, but I didn't do a convert. Why? A nice new fresh start. Just opend a few forums to the public. So you don't have to login to see some things, and you can do a search. The usere that are on the forum can still login and see everything, but they can't post anymore.
I also turned of registration via a hack for that (standard feature in myBB). I also did some reading about converting, but it looks like a hell of a job to do and it doesn't always mean a quick job

i will do one of theese 20 things (depending on what happens first):
-use mybb merge system beta when i have some free time (i will be to busy in the next days…)
-use the final version once it is out.
Have fun trying out the converter, and converting your phpbb to mybb. I think it's smart to ask a few members of your phpbb forum to test the mybb forum after the convertion.
I dunno how big your forum is, but if it's big, you might want some members to the MyBB before you go live.
they aren't too big, for now, i could also consider to keep them as an archive and start from scratch, but importing whould be the better solution.

I tired the first one, but I just get this error:

and the Beta Merge System has been suspended with no ETA
