I've finally decided to go ahead with my forum but I'm looking to create something that resembles a website with content but with latest posts etc on the homepage, something like this:

https://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/

I'm thinking this is a Wordpress website although I'm not at all sure - and I have no idea what forum software is being used. Does anyone know if it's possible to have something like the above link with MyBB?

Thanks,

Mashed.
i know there are plugins for wordpress posts showing on the forum (like this one: https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?acti...w&pid=1319) but do not know of one that will show forum posts on the wordpress site.

you should request one in the "plugin requests" board https://community.mybb.com/forum-65.html

won't guarantee you'll get a free one but someone may be willing to do this for a price.
Thanks Taylor. I'll leave this open incase anyone else knows of another way. I know nothing about themes but am thinking maybe a theme will do it so I'm looking at those now. I seem to remember you could go in and change all the colours around at the click of a tab but don't think we can do that anymore.
That site is built with XenForo and has custom widgets being pulled through. You won't be able to build this with a theme alone, a theme is just templates and styling, it won't be able to pull through additional content on its own. You will need a plugin to load the data you wanted to display.
Matt, thanks. Can I ask how you know it's made with XenForo? I looked at built with but maybe I missed it or is there an easier way to find out as I'd like to see how other forums are made. Thanks.
I know as I work for the company that built this site, but if you view the page source there's references to XF in it.
Thanks.
