appologise if this question has been asked before, but is there a modification to add a chat room to a forum? I have the shout box mod but my members are complaining that they want a chat room for some reason.
Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of chat are you looking for? IRC, PHP based?

To be honest i don't know. Whats the best one? And whats available?

I'm a big fan of IRC, it seems to work better for me than PHP based chats. Months ago I was going to make a modification for IRC chats, but never got around to it. Next week will be busy (finals coming up at school :|) so maybe after all the finals I'll get around to making one or maybe someone else will try.

I could use one to... altho it dusn't mater weather it's IRC or PHP/MySQL

I would not getting a java-based chat room(way to slow). I would get a php/flash chat room then just have link on your pages to it. Here are some links to a bunch of different chat room scripts:

Some of the scripts might not be flash but most are.

Ok just for others that might be looking, i downloaded and installed phpMyChat and it works it treat.

One of the listed programs on programmingpub uses myBB for its forums.
