I'm not able to find a way to quote from the first post in any thread.
This even when there have been several replies, some with quotes to later replies in the thread.
How can I quote from the first post in a later reply please?
I’m not really sure what you mean - the first post isn’t treated any differently to other posts, and has a Reply and Quote button underneath like all posts. If your forum does not show that you must have a plugin that is removing it for some reason.

In the forum I raise this about the "Quote" box is not present on any originating (first) posts. Obviously reply is present.
The quote box is there, and works, for quoting subsequent posts in that thread.
Is this your own forum or a forum you’re a user on?
Also both buttons can be used to quote a post. The Reply button goes to the full new reply page with the post quoted, the Quote button is multi quoting. Either way, if either of the buttons are not there, then something will be installed that is removing it for specifically the first post, so that modification would just need to be disabled.
