Hello,

New, Seeking help;
 
Have used MyBB for many years; https://naturaleyesightimprovement-bates.../index.php
     This 404 error happens every year (3 years it has happened) when my hosting service does something wrong with server and loses all my MyBB and Wordpress folders, files. 
Hopefully they can fnd a backup.
 
Any suggestions why this is happening? I use HostGator.  Took 3 techs to help me. 2 gave incorrect information. One lied; said issue is in upper management but he never really forwarded it. 

If backup works, they find the folders; How to download? use Filezilla through the hosting service C-Panel? 
   Can I do it online at MyBB?  (I have also purchased CodeGuard so I got backups but prefer to do it myself.) 

Way things are now; every time I post a new picture, video on my MyBB forum I will have to quickly do a backup. Cannot trust Hostgator. 

Any ideas, better hosting service..?

I can't understand why you've been doing this for 3 years.
The market is full of hosters, there are certainly comparison sites for it, which are any good.
It's just a question of what exactly you need or want and what you are willing to spend. Therefore I don't give a recommendation for abc or xyz.
Only away you should from this "Hoster" probably absolutely, that is no state so!

Still need to know how to download the entire MyBB contents; all MY folders, pictures, posts. So I am in charge, can reupload the whole forum if the Host ever loses it again. Will need this information for the new BETTER hosting service I find.

you'll need complete ftp-backup (I use filezilla for this)
you'll need complete database-backup (PhpMyAdmin or other database-tool)
