Since it is security related about restricting registrations, I thought I would post a notification here.
I have just found a fixed version of https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?acti...w&pid=1416 was available as a different mod https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?acti...w&pid=1565 . It answers my question.
