I have recently built a couple new MyBb forums and I have a few suggestions to put forth...
Please consider adding these features to MyBB...
Optional features would be nice but work OK as plugins...
I think 1.8.X is great but look at some forums out in the wild...everyone is turning to Xenforo which includes these features right out of the box. I have to spend days setting up these mentioned features just to compete with Xenforo.

- Alerts
- Like/Thank You System
- Some type of SEO friendly URL system

- Subscriptions with rank promotions
- Page Manager to create other pages like About Us and Rules.
