Sorry if this is really dumb question

Usually when i do upgrade my version is like example 1.8.30 > 1.8.33 ( 3 version backward)

Therefor I will use the full package download

And regretly, tonight i was trying to upgrade Upgrade 1.8.34 to 1.8.35 and i decided to use 'changed files' method.

and i see the notes written

To upgrade from the previous version: copy and overwrite files from the Changed Files package.

that is what i did. open ftp and copy to overwrite the files.

Now its showing  HTTP ERROR 500!

cant go to admin or front end.

I am panicking now. PLease help. Did I do something wrong?

there are only 4 files inside the changed files. Upload all of them.

if you not found solution for free, for non-free support , I am at your service .

I do have backup of the database. What if i just install a new mybb forum and then later import the database there using phpmyadmin and use it at mybb during fresh install?

Don't reinstall.
First check you have 17 files that changed. You can verify by the date/time stamp of the files.
Yes, you said 4 files, there are 4 items which include 2 folders.
All considered, 17 files have changed.

Next, your server log will help identify what exactly went 500.
A URL might be helpful.
