After testing several BB's available and finally deciding to use this one (mostly based on the hooks system) there is one thing that drives me bonkers about the permissions system.
Suggestion 1:
If a group has permissions to a subform then they should automatically be given view access to any parent forums up to the root.
Example:
With this the view permissions would inherit up the tree as some inherit down the tree.
Suggestion 2:
If permissions are specifically set on a forum then any new groups created by default do not have access to said forum. (no inherit by default)
So overall these are the two things that drop the ease of working with bb for me. Since I run a site with a complicated set of who has access and what kinda access to all these different forums and subforums it gets a little complicated.
