i check in hackforum there is a convo feature. where people can talk with each other privately. is there any plugin for that?

Private messages allows folks to discuss matters privately. Its default with MyBB installation.

Consider the MyConversations plugin by Laird. It takes the default PM system to a new level.
A paid plugin, but worth the price, and it is maintained by the author.
