Is it at all possible to use the users preferred language pack for the setting names and descriptions? I know it can be done in the _info function but I've not been able to get it to actually work for _install of setting group and settings for that plugin.

You can load a language file at the admin_config_settings_begin hook (example) with automatically recognized phrases for titles, descriptions, and options:

• setting_group_*, with the group name (https://github.com/mybb/mybb/blob/mybb_1...s.php#L394)
