I installed myBB today for the first time.

I then decided to install ShoutBox Plugin which I'm quite sure is very easy.

However, the 4 lines of install instructions that I found were so devoid of information that I'm wondering if there is other documentation that I missed somewhere?

I think maybe another 3 - 4 sentances on the plugin download page would have been enough to explain it fully but as of right now what I read just left me with a lot of questions


Upload the files from UPLOAD to your MyBB root directory.
1.  The UPLOAD Folder , Just The Content Inside UPLOAD Folder, Should the Plugin Folder Inside Also Be Included?

Copy the CSS included in the package
STYLES.txt

global.css
Insert the
{$dvz_shoutbox}
index
template (Index Page Templates of your theme).

Install the plugin in the ACP
2. In a myBB install where would ACP be and should this be removed from the UPLOAD folder ?

I would much rather know the answer to these 2 questions and get it right the first time then to guess and be wrong!

the folders
inc
jscripts
and all folders and files they contain to the root of your forum

there is nothing to load to the admin-dir


go to your ACP
choose Plugins
install the Shoutbox
