So I had this mybb forum install and the host got shut down but luckly I had backup.

Now the issue is, I uploaded my mybb backup using phpmyadmin as shown on docs but the prefix of my original mybb backup is mybb_admin, mybb_users but the new mybb I installed has this prefix mybb8h_admin, mybb8h_users so the backup is useless and nothing old is showing up, only the new fresh installation is being shown!

How to fix this issue and restore my forum?

So I found the fix to change /inc/config.php and change the default prefix.

How to reset the password using phpmyadmin
https://docs.mybb.com/1.8/faq/moving-to-a-new-web-host/

you can change the prefix in inc/config.php

Did you change your database access data to the new DB?
