Hi, I decided to take on Newpoints development from now on. As some of you might know, Diogo Parrinha left the development for this plugin over two years ago by now, so there is room for people to take on the project.

There are plenty of plugins that work with Newpoints under the ougcNetowkr project like Withdraw Points, Deposit points, Sellix Points, and Points Activity Rewards. Among several that have some level of compatibilities like Awards and Custom Reputation.
As some of you might know there is already an alternative to Newpoints :

Mint is an "extension that establishes a platform for virtual currency and inventory items held by users." developed by @kawaii. The idea is to maintain Newpoints as an alternative not a replacement or competitor. Existing plugins for Newpoints are planned to come to work for Mint over time.
The primary concern with this project would be to update it for newer versions of PHP and MyBB as necessary. Secondly would be some minor improvements but no additional feature other than fixes is planned.
I will use this thread to communicate updates and you should feel free to comment any suggestion.
