I have been trying to use the phpFreeChat software and plugin (got the plugin here, of course), but I keep having problems.
Has anyone done a plugin that would add a chat room to the forum that doesn't depend on another program?

The Spicefuse shoutbox is good, I chose it over a Xat chat box. But you can always use Chatango or a Xat chatbox and just add the code to your forums, you can mod people, and ban/kick them too.
Flash Chat ($5 with lifetime upgrades) already has a module for using the MyBB user tables.
do you happen to have the website addy for Flash Chat? That sounds like it may be something I can use.
