Download Inspired (dark) @ MyBB Extend
Your theme looks very nice. Could you perhaps ship the plugins as single packages in the Extend site and allow using the theme without them ?

I definitely could do that as an option.

As it stands it's only dependent on the Last Post Avatar plugin but the main issue I've received is the plugin altering the templates (double entry of code) if installed after the theme. I found the best way to combat this is to include the plugin with the download to ensure it's activated prior to installing the theme .xml.
As a developer and because of the current template system design, I decided a short while ago to leave template edits for administrators to apply them manually.

It is troublesome otherwise and it shouldn't be considered an advanced task, thus even new forum managers should learn quick how to apply changes to the template system.

Your setup could also bring unforeseen issues on the long run; for instance, people don't usually update themes by uploading new versions and deleting old ones, specially the more custom edits people do. Therefore, it is more plausible for admins to mix the plugin version in case there is any or not update their plugins at all, either because they think they will need to update the theme as well or because there is no control version logic for the themes system.

Additionally, from our side it is hard to review plugins when they ship inside themes. This could be more a concern of our side though.

Excellent points. Perhaps it could benefit from creating a 'standard' version over one that doesn't rely on a plugin. In doing this I tried to remove the circumstances where a forum manager unfamiliar with the system would have to make manual edits, or submitting requests to have it done for them. Unfortunately the template system doesn't show what's been added or removed to a template without reverting it so someone unfamiliar with the templating system wouldn't have a comparison.

LPA is a great example. Placing code inside a template once activated ultimately creates display errors in the chosen theme without knowing what's causing the issue. It means more support requests or managers doing things they probably shouldn't be doing. That's just my opinion though. Perhaps in a few weeks time I'll look at re-doing it without the need for the plugin.
UPDATED: missing boot.js file for dropdown menus and collapse. Updated on Extend.
Love it, good job
Nice one Matty 👍🏻 I really like this kind of light black color
