I like the way in VB 3 it has a log in box at the top right corener of the forums
(see pic) I think this looks really proffesional and gives the board a better feel
if it could be implemented in to mybb gold, it would be really cool.

There is a log in box on the bottom of the forums. No need to show the the log-in box if you're already logged in. But, if you're talking about moving the login box somewheres, else...why not

You can go into your Admin CP -> Template manager -> *expand your template* -> Expand Index Templates -> Open the "index" template. Find $loginform and move it wherever you want.

Then open the "index_loginform" template and format the login box as you would like.
