Hey everyone,

I would like to know if it
is possible to protect a subforum like:
http://www.1234.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=4
with a .htaccess password and if so, how?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You can protect a forums with a password via that admincp forum management.
Yes true,
but I would like to make some part sure
private and I see no way to be really sure
about my members, so I would love to see
a way like this password to secure the one
part.

The other option so far would be with two
boards, one open one closed.
Since I don't like that idea to much I really
hope there is a better way ...

Thanks so far, hope for more options.

Then set the permissions so on the certain group who you want to see it CAN and other groups CANNOT. Then password protection and you've got it double protected.
The permissions of the groups are
already set but thats to much of a
wide range.
What would you suggest about the password,
do you know a extra password protection for
a specific subforum as I explained above?

Admin CP --> Forum Management --> Manage Forums --> *Select category/subforum and click 'Edit'* --> Forum Password

If you set a password on the category as well as the subforum you will have "extra protection" as you need. Smile
Thank YOU VERY MUCH
