my forum was recently converted from IPB using the merge system to myBB.

everything seemed fine but then a few posts went wrong. about 5 times now a member has posted something after an old post of theirs and the two posts have merged to form one. so far all the topics it has happened on were converted along with the board.

there is nothing wrong with the members accounts, the posting setup or the threads. this doesn't happen all the time either - just on a post here and there. Other people have posted something after an old post of theirs and nothing has happened.

no one can can be sure why this has happened (probably a bug?) and how to fix it. any ideas?!

And do you have the double post auto merge plugin installed?

Yes that's it! Although that doesn't explain why it doesn't happen every time someone double posts ...

Still depends on your settings ( ignoregroups / ignoreforums and minute between posts )
