first i'd like to introduce myelf: my name is manni, i'm a user of MyBB for about 4 weeks. installation of mybb and PJIRC was smoothly, most because of the problem-solving threads from other users. thank you.
What i did last was to integrate the PJIRC chat. The forum users can chat, but they want to hear a sound whenever another user typed in a message. As far as i understand, we have to use the jsEvents plugin for this, and add a function that plays a sound whenever the jsevents:msg evnet is recognized.
I installed jsEvents and modified the file pjirc_mybb.php, but there is no sound when a chat message comes in.
When i type /beep form within the chat, the beep is heared, so the sound file and output hardware must be ok.
What do i miss?
