Is there a way to make it so that instead of uploading your file for the download plugin, make it ask for the URL so that you do not have to upload there but you can upload it somwhere else?

I put the attached file to the forum root and I edited the file you said to edit but when I was done, nothing was different on the page. Look at it.

You don't need to edit the file, you need to reupload the attached file and edit your download_submit template. And as a guest, you can't submit a download ... so can't see it =P
