On Firefox and Opera, the Forum Jump box automatically "jumps" to that forum (pardon the pun) when you select a forum. Yet it has a Go button.
Is that for versions of IE, or is it required to have it work due to wonky issues with HTML/XHTML?
It is for those who don't have javascript turned on. As well as that, it is useful for selecting the currently selected option - for example when reading a thread, the forum jump defaults to the forum the thread is in. If you wish to jump back to that forum, you'd need to click Go.
