I have noticed that many issues that are reported here are related to editing php files in windows Notepad. To save our dear members such troubles, I suggest there should be a list of free php editors and utilities. I'll take the initiative of putting a list of trouble-free editors, hoping that other members add to this list any free useful editors/utilities that they have tested and have proved useful.

5. PSPad 4.5.2
5. HTML-Kit
6. Arisesoft Winsyntax

I use MetaPad. Just set it to save as Unix files

Notepad++ for me. I love it. Plus, being portable is also a bonus

Um well, it's the internet, you can basicly get anything for free.

I got Dreamweaver thanks to the magic of ^.

Very good thread... Makes PHP editing for people easier.

For me, on Windows, I use Notepad++, but on a Mac I use Smultron.

On Windows I use Notepad++
On Linux I just use gedit or kedit.
