When 2 people are accessing a forum from the same IP (as I often do with a friend at school) people can end up in other peoples' accounts; receiving others' PMs; accessing hidden fora... the list goes on. It's wierd. Then when you click "Logout" it says you are logged out; but then when it goes back to the index it says you are still logged in.

Could that be a mixup from ur Server (or Network) at school??
This is because your school uses a proxy/caching server which is also catchin g cookies sent through requests. MyBB doesn't use sessions so to speak to track users, it uses cookies to check if a user is logged in and valid.
This is not a MyBB problem.
Really? That's wierd. There was/is no such problem with phpBB... so that's why I'm asking.
On a side note, any chance of a "I'm using a public computer - please don't keep my cookie past this session?" checkbox - or would that muck up the whole cookie system.... ?
