Hi, I downloaded mybb and I need to know anything else I'm going to need to download or aquire.
I know that I need a webserver and I don't have the cash to pay for anything
Can anybody tell me where I can get a free webserver?
I have a domain name.
Is that all I need (a webserver and a domain name)?
You need for the webserver to have both PHP and mySQL, and you need, of course, the mybb files.
You also need a mysql db...
I think that's all you need.
Edit: Oh yea, the free webspace....

Ok, I have a webserver account, now I'm stuck on the upload of the mybb forum.
ATSPACE is the websever company I'm using.
I found the "Browse" buttons and uploaded the mybb files from my computer.
Now I don't know what to do.

hmm. I a little advise. I would use
http://www.ivolvehost.com/ Its much better. Using that link, you'll need 4 things.
* A server with php and mysql and a database (see link above)
* Latest myBB Download
* FTP program
* severs ftp and database details
Then using the FTP, upload it to the server and CHMOD ./inc/settings.php and .inc/config.php to 666 or 777. Go to the url, appending /install/ and follow the instructions.
But to make it easier for you, go to the site above, make 10 posts, get an account, and forward the PM Bobby send you to me with your server details. I'll upload and install for you, hassle free, risk free, and quickly. Your choice.
