Thanks for the reply. I double checked that the Akismet plugin is activated (shows 'Deactivate' for the button). I also reinstalled the files.. and I'm still not seeing it in the menus. The other plugins seem to install fine (Email Notification on Registration and Spam Central), but Akismet is showing me anything.
Any ideas what to look for in regards to the problem? I've checked the error_logs on Apache, no PHP related errors or Notices. Also checked file and database permissions.. those seem good as well.
