If i don't know how its done ( i can't see the image you've posted ! ), i can't help you out =P And placing an adv or banner at the left ? There aint much space for that ... Or are you talking about a sidebox with an adv in it ?

Nop... i dont think about a sidebox with an adv in it but an adv at the left name forum category.

Aint that a lil' overkill ? =P You can place banners and ads in your header/footer ... And it will totally screw up your forumlayout ?

for that question, no solution or modification ?
cause i want each forum category have one adv or banner from my sponsor.
that's only at front page

I think you might be able to add it in the Forum Management. Put the ad code in the beginning of the forum description. Not sure if it still works though.

Its different if put the code at description of threads name.....

and [attachment=7827]

Then you need a modification to do that.
