MyBB Community Forums

Hi,

I deleted my old version of my forum and upgraded to the latest version. I'm still using the same database but for some reason the new forum looks just like its brand new. Shows only one active member. (Admin).

How do I tie my database with all the posts, members and forums to the new version?

I'm using the same hosting account.

Erm... did you run the installer and overwrite your existing data?

No just checked my database and everuything is still there.

But I noticed this on the installation help:

"Table Prefix
This is the prefix for the tables in the database. Unless you already have a MyBB installation in the database you entered with the prefix mybb_, you should leave this how it is. If you do already have a MyBB installation in the database, you should change it to something else. "

What else should I use?

Did you by any chance backup your old database before you did the upgrade?

The tables would still be there, but is the data from your old install still in the tables? If you ran the installer the database structure would look the same but it would contain the contents of a fresh install.
