Need help in shortening the width at Posts/Threads

Then, how do I widen the width to something like this?

Well you can of course widen the forum by simply changing the "width" area. Widen it by adding more pixels or percentage. Shrink it by taking away.

Im not quite sure what you want to widen with that second picture, but the master width control on your stylesheet is your best best. You can always make template edits, or, if possible, change the class and attributes to suit your needs.

That appears to be a modified theme.

Use view-source to bring up the location and note the hooks for the templates controlling the layout.

Adjust the percentages to suit.

I used to think that this forum was for asking support for the MyBB - Default stuff, These days it's used for anything and everything.
