Error that occurs when trying to delete a post:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: update_thread_counters() in /home/www/vmktimes.awardspace.com/inc/class_moderation.php on line 442

Error that occurs when trying to post a new thread/reply:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: update_thread_counters() in /home/www/vmktimes.awardspace.com/inc/datahandlers/post.php on line 780

I tried re-uploading these files, but that didn't solve anything. Any advice on this situation?

Reupload inc/functions.php from a fresh download off the MyBB Site - You still have an old version of it
