I know MyBB is free, but there are still development costs I'm sure. I know donations are not always enough money to pay for development costs. So why not offer "MyBB Services", such as "a small fee to install MyBB", "custom theme for one person's forum only", "special mods", "small fee to upgrade forum for people who know nothing about it".
Just a suggestion.
Possibly because these things require a person with free time. Combined with the problem of when people pay for things they expect (and deserve) results with minimum delay and maximum quality/functionality.
It's a great idea, but, needs someone with the free time and willingness to undertake such a commitment.

We might look at it if we ever have an official "paid support" option (at least the install/upgrade/convert part and maybe simple mods).
