I'd like to see any software plug ins relating to mybb that are made here or exclusively mybb, carry a compatibility title with each download button.
it would alleviate any unecessary repetitive questions for support, and eliminate alot of compatibility errors too,

which haunts a plug in maker, they may have forgotten about the problems it had until somone downloads it again and experiences the same issues from a long time ago.

It shouldnt matter if its at this site or a link , leads a member from here to it.
out of consideration , the same standards should apply., if its a mybb mod plug in or is linked or supported here or advertised here...

Download modifications from the MyBB website.

The plugins and modifications listed in the main categories on the Mods site are compatible with the current release of MyBB.

I, recently from here, followed a link to a site that posted the plug ins and werent current or compatible with the current release of MYBB.
Yet its a MYBB based Plug in, and offered support here,,, the rest might be incidental.

Modifications and plugins are 3rd party. The author is responsible for releasing their own plugins, and it's their fault (not the fault of the MyBB Group) if they say it's compatible for MyBB X but it doesn't work.

As Chris said, your best bet is to download from MyBB Mods. The mods there have been previewed by the admins (not sure how in depth though), but even then, the compatibility of the plugin with MyBB lies with the author of the plugin/mod.
