What is the best, easy to use and free FTP client? I currently use WinSCP, but it always seems to lose connection.

I use FileZilla too.

Use WinSCP for SFTP, though I like FileZilla much better (can't seem to get it to work with SFTP).

Filezilla is the best free one hands down.

But my personal favorite is FlashFXP(But you have to buy it)

I personally use SmartFTP & Love it

Since moving to Linux I use the built in ftp client with Konqueror, and open files in Kate for editing

I like FileZilla but I use to use SmartFTP. It has been a long time since I used it last.

I use Filezilla on Windows and gFTP on Linux.

I use FTP Commander Freeware Version.

It didn't have a CHMOD Option, but it was easy to accomplish using Custom Command.

I find it VERY easy to use, even easier than SmartFTP.

I did until about 3 days ago when it stopped working

I'm using Filezilla now, and it doesn't have Favourites ike SmartFTP, and I don't find it as friendly,
