you can rate a comment it salf and not the whole topic.

it's a good idea in any kind of support/help forums.
whene someone start new topic for asking for any kind of help
and he get some posts to answere him, he or anyone (but not the comment owner)
can rate the best post in this topic.
what do you think guys?

I don't think this should come by default with the MyBB package.

Sounds like a VB feature If you asked me.

In all seriousness: You can use the thank you mod instead, only useful posts will be "thanked for", so it's the same as having a 5 stars rating.

I think it's better suited for a plugin. Normally I wouldn't take the time to rate a thread, much less a post.
