Hi,

where can I find information on what was changed in language files?
Also, was it just minor changes like grammar/corrected typos, or was there something new added?

I did some partial translation from ACP, so I don't want to lose that work if I have to overwrite the files...

In this post you can find what language files have changed since 1.2.9 was released. You can use the program WinMerge to compare the 1.2.9 and 1.2.10 English language files to see what strings have been added. (These were mostly grammar and spelling corrections indeed, but some lines were added and an entire section was added to the Admin CP about UTF-8 conversion.)
