I am using a free host
My board is set up nicely at:

http://rcf.svcfreehost.info/Upload/index.php

but i want to use the domain I have previoulsy registered . what changes do I need to do with mybb to do that?

I want:
http://www.respcareforum.com to be the link to the board.

First you need to configure the domain with your host (you need to contact your host about that).

Once your domain points to your webspace, you can edit Admin CP --> Board Settings --> General Configuration and change the URLs to the new one.

I've configured the name server with my domain names host. and I changed the url for that domain in the > general config> as you say above but when i view my forum, just x's show up and none of the graphics?

When you change domains like this, I assume any posts that contain links to other threads will now be dead since the domain name changed?

Yes that is correct. You might want to find someone to write you a script to go through your posts to replace the old board URL with the new one. You can make a request in the Code Modifications section of this forum.
