It's possible for script to automatically shrink posted images if they exceed specified size? Any plugin for this?

Maybe this will work , have not tried it. How about the idea of setting inside your Admin CP to allow imgages to be posted as "thumbnails" instead of full size images. Then set your maximum thumbnail size allowed to be what ever you want...for example 800 max width and 800 max height ?
Maybe he is talking about images with the img tag?
