But how do I know it is compatible with 1.2.10. It doesn't say which versions they go with. I wanted to keep my black and blue theme , but it didn't work with 1.2.10

Most themes are compatible with 1.2.10. There haven't been many template changes since 1.2.0. The easiest way to tell is to try them.
