Hello

I understand that with Mybb 1.4 you can use SMTP with fsockopen to send Email Registration Confirmations with a email account such as gmail but is there a way please of doing this with MyBB 1.2.11 until we have access to the new 1.4 is released.

I don't think we would want to delay the release of 1.4 by bringing this into 1.2.x - 1.2.10 was meant to be the final release for the 1.2 series, but seeing as there were security vulnerabilities found, a further release had to be done.

In short, there will be no features added to 1.2 any longer.

Unless someone wants to make a mod/plugin for you (which I doubt as 1.4 is on its way and will make the plugin/mod redundant) there isn't much chance of you getting this in the current version.

There is an SMTP mod around here...search for it.
