If 5 different people want to join from one computer, is all I have to increase is the "maximum # of registrations per IP" setting and the amount of time between registration? I think thats it?

This would also apply to a large LAN of PC's which share the same external IP such as a University, or Business.

Depends on universities My university (dynamically) assigns a public IP address to each computer on the network

Wow, they must have a load of public IP's then.
