Hi Im a MyBB newbie and I tried to enable captcha but its said something about needing GD. Also I read somewhere that it could be possible to make new users enter a specific line upon registration using a custom field. If so how can I enable it.

Yes the CAPTCHA image requires GD. You probably need to ask your webhost to enable it for you. www.php.net/gd for details.
