Notepad++ and FileZilla. I used to use SmartFTP, but I had too many issues with it. >.>

I'm using Zend when working but for small fixes and edits I'm using notepad2.
SmartFTP - the best, but why not a freeware for non-commercial use????

I use for PHP coding gPHPedit and mc (Midnight Commander) for FTP.

I use FlashFXP. Its cheap but has a free trial and IMHO, its the best I have seen!

I've heard (or actually seen nowdays) so much the name FlashFXP but never try it...
someone can write down the main differences between FlashFXP and SmartFTP?

Dreamweaver and SmartFTP.

I use wordpad which comes along with Windows and for ftp, I turn on my server's monitor and bam! I'm on the server.

hehe lucky you you don't need hosting....

do you guys know any free php/text editor with UTF-8 <=> ISO-XXXX converter?

I use the free version of PHP Designer 2007 but it doesn´t seem to convert anything.

Dreamweaver have this option
