Basically, I've been searching around forever trying to find an easy tutorial on how to set up my own forum when I have my own host site, all I find is "use this and this free webhost and the ftp already contains these files do this yadda yadda". Basically, I have my own webhost and webspace, I got a forum template by Mike Lothar, I downloaded the mybb files, but I have no idea where to begin, could anyone point me to a howto where it explains all of this when you're using your own webspace. It supports Php, not sure about Mysql and such, but I'm pretty sure it does.

EDIT: Or could anyone post me to a "novice" "Make your own database" tutorial so I can use phpbb to install?

You will need MySQL, so find out if your host does support it.
