Same is happening here. I changed the files, yet all my members are still having the problem.

You might have done what I did, which was take the file from the MyBB downloads page, which doesn't have the updated file that fixes the issue. The new file was placed on the changed files in the 1.2.12 thread. I attached it, so feel free to use that one.
